Behaviorial Health Technician

WellSpan Health is seeking compassionate, motivated individuals to join our Behavioral Health team as Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs). In this role, you’ll support patients receiving mental health services in an inpatient setting. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in psychology, social work, counseling, nursing or related fields. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available on all shifts!

As a BHT, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, therapeutic environment while gaining hands‑on experience that’s highly valuable for future clinical careers.
 

What You’ll Do
•  Support patients with daily activities and therapeutic routines
•  Assist clinical staff with treatment plans and behavioral interventions
•  Monitor patient behavior and document observations
•  Facilitate group activities and reinforce coping skills
•  Maintain a safe, structured environment for all patients
•  Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other behavioral health professionals
 

Who We’re Looking For
•  Students or graduates in psychology, human services, social work, counseling, nursing, or related fields
•  Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•  Compassion, patience, and a desire to support individuals in behavioral health treatment
•  Ability to work in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment
•  Prior experience in behavioral health is helpful but not required—we provide training
