Position Overview: Electrical Assembler Intern
Highlight is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Assembler Intern to join our Production Department on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for students or individuals pursuing a career in electrical trades, mechatronics, automation, or industrial technology to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
This role will focus on assisting with the assembly and wiring of electrical panels and components under the guidance of experienced team members. No travel is required.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in building standard electrical panels
- Support wiring of electrical components and subassemblies
- Learn to read and interpret wiring schematics and blueprints
- Assist with basic troubleshooting and testing of electrical systems
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and electrical team members
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) a vocational, trade school, technical, or university program in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field
- Basic understanding of electrical principles
- Ability to read or willingness to learn to read electrical schematics
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Dependable, motivated, and team-oriented
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, and drug screen
