Opportunity:
The Osthoff Resort, a Four Diamond AAA rated resort, located in beautiful Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, is currently seeking a Line Cook. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to our restaurant's recipes with high quality and consistency.
Seasonal, part-time, or full-time positions available!
**Some evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all food items are prepared and presented to the standards set for The Osthoff Resort
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are completed in a timely manner
- Maintain knowledge of restaurant standard menus, specials, and 86 items
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Maintain a harmonious work environment
- Practice clear and effective communication with all kitchen and restaurant team members
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed
- Continuously practice safe food handling techniques
- Demonstrate working knowledge of dietary needs and its importance to safe food handling
- All other duties as assigned
Skills/Requirements:
- Must have some culinary experience
- Knowledge of culinary terms and techniques
- Strong communication and organizational skills are strongly desired
- A positive attitude is a must
- Ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Experience setting up cooking lines, stocking, and organizing workstations--willing to teach the right candidate
