The POOL AND BEACH ATTENDANT (Seasonal) is responsible to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and well-maintained Pool Deck and Beach area while providing a superior experience for registered resort guests.
The expected base wage range for this position is: $17.50 per hour. This position may be eligible for additional compensation according to the Company's policies, as they may be amended from time to time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner, deferring to the Outlets Manager or Outlets Supervisor when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
To extend a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests at all times in order to contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
To make the Outlets Manager aware of all guest comments and complaints.
To work in heat, sand, and traverse steps up and down to the kitchen and beach.
To follow and perform a rotation to greet and assist guests as they arrive at the pool or beach, including providing information about amenities, available services, and managing the sign up and seating time of pool lounge chairs.
To follow specified procedures to provide prompt, efficient, and gracious customer service to hotel guests by regularly checking the pool and beach areas to ensure guests requests are handled in a timely manner.
To follow specified procedures to properly set up pool and beach stations and perform side work on a daily basis.
To ensure the cleanliness and condition of all chairs, towels, guest areas, and work areas.
To ensure strict policy regarding usage of the Pool deck by registered guests only, including timing of guests leaving chairs unattended.
To follow a strict “No glass policy” on the pool deck and to keep the pool and beach areas clear of used dishes, utensils, and towels at all times.
To lift and carry beach chairs, umbrellas and towels, to set up guests along the beach, and to ensure that guests are provided with quality service.
To maintain the proper care and cleanliness of pool and beach equipment to minimize breakage.
To perform opening and closing duties as outlined in departmental SOP’s.
QUALIFICATIONS: Able to speak, read, and write basic English and to follow simple verbal and written instructions. Able to read and understand chemical labels. Previous experience in hotel Housekeeping preferred.
SKILLS AND APTITUDES: Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Safety-minded. High quality standards for production and service. Courteous, friendly manner. Good verbal communication skills. Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Stands and walks moderate to long distances throughout shift. Bends, stoops, and reaches to perform routine job tasks. Routinely required to handle and move objects weighing up to 40 lbs. over moderate distances. Frequent use of stairs, daily. Flexibility and good reflexes required. Fast-paced work environment. Guest facing position that may handle conflict and/or encounter individuals who may be upset and emotional at times.
TRAVEL: This position is not expected to travel for work.
REMOTE WORK: This position is not eligible to work remotely. The candidate must be able to work in-person during normal business hours.
