Group Leader Responsibilities

Group leaders should enjoy working with children and creating a positive, supportive environment for them each day. Responsibilities include a variety of tasks to ensure the program runs smoothly and safely.

Duties include, but are not limited to, taking daily attendance, completing general administrative tasks, and documenting accidents, injuries, and behavioral incidents as needed. Group leaders are also responsible for communicating with parents or guardians regarding students’ daily activities, behaviors, and any concerns when necessary.

Staff are expected to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all students. This includes actively observing, monitoring, and engaging with students during play and daily activities. Group leaders will assist students with homework, help plan and lead crafts and activities, organize games, and supervise meal and recess times to ensure students are safe, engaged, and well cared for throughout the program.
