General Description:

As a Commercial Truck Sales Representative, you will help current and new customers in an assigned territory find the right vehicle to fit their Mack and Hino Medium Duty purchasing, rental and/or leasing needs. Through training, you will develop extensive industry and product knowledge. With access to state-of-the-art software, you will monitor and report on market intelligence which impacts business and pricing. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Frequent local travel to customer sites to build meaningful, long-lasting relationships as a trusted advisor
  • Actively seek and develop new accounts and represent the company to potential customers
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services provided
  • Evaluate customer needs and make recommendations utilizing a value selling approach
  • Meet sales goals set by management
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements pertaining to this position.
  • Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Successful sales and/or business to business experience
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a CDL
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with heavy duty truck sales
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate or Bachelor degree in related field

 

Candidate Criteria:

  • Strong oral and written communication ability.
  • Commitment to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, and be willing to attend appropriate training sessions.
