Children’s Ministry Summer Intern Description

Description:
This position is to help individuals gain a deeper relationship with God though working with the children, volunteers and staff of RPC. This internship is designed to help strengthen one’s faith as well as provide experience in working with children in a faith-based environment.

- Rachel Bates, Director of Early Childhood Ministry
- Emily Kampras, Ministry Assistant
Expectations:
- Support and collaborate with the children’s ministry team to help children and their families grow in the love of God
- Help prepare for, support, and, at times, lead both Preschool and Elementary Sunday school throughout the summer
- Help prepare and host RPC Playdates for our preschool-age families
- Help prepare for and volunteer during VBS, including creating and directing VBS videos
- Help prepare for and assist during Preschool Music Camp
- Help prepare for and assist during RAMP camp (Roswell Area Missions Project Camp)
- Support children’s ministry and volunteers
- Attend weekly staff meeting as well as weekly intern meeting and Bible study
- Grow in your faith as you serve alongside the staff of RPC
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have completed one year of college
- Have a growing relationship with God
- Possess leadership skills
- Works well in a team environment
- Able to develop and lead children’s programming with support from staff
Responsibilities:
- VBS - prep and planning/directing/creating VBS videos
- F2 events – summer pool party and weekly Bible study
- Preschool and Elementary Sunday School – help prep and help lead weekly
- Preschool Music Camp – help prep beforehand and volunteer during the week
- RAMP Camp - help prep beforehand and assist during the week
- RPC Playdates – help prep and host playdates
Specifics About the Internship:
A general work-week is Sunday-Thursday (40 hours per week). Work schedule will be determined on a weekly basis with your supervisor. Internships run from May 2025 through July 2025 (start and end dates can be negotiated).
Interns are paid $3,000 for the 10 weeks.
