SIHO Internship Overview – Summer 2026
Welcome to the SIHO Summer Internship Program! We are thrilled to offer college students the chance to embark on an immersive, 12-week journey into the dynamic health insurance industry. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience, valuable industry insights, community engagement, and meaningful professional growth opportunities.


Program Duration: May 18 – August 7, 2026 (12-week program)
Program Highlights:
Hands-On Departmental Experience: Dive into department-specific tasks, gaining practical experience and exposure to the inner workings of the health insurance industry. Work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to impactful, real-world projects.
Weekly Industry Leader Sessions: Participate in weekly discussions with industry experts on topics such as emerging trends, market insights, and career advice. Build connections and expand your professional network.


Capstone Project Presentation: Develop and present a comprehensive end-of-summer project to SIHO’s executive leadership team. Demonstrate your understanding, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.


Community Engagement: Embrace SIHO's commitment to social responsibility through organized volunteer initiatives. Connect with the community and contribute to positive change.

About Corporate Business
The Corporate Business Associate area supports high level administrative and operational functions across the organization. This team works closely with the Chief Administrative Officer to assist with cross departmental initiatives, process improvement efforts, organizational planning, and internal programs that enhance efficiency and collaboration. The department plays a key role in driving operational excellence by helping coordinate enterprise wide projects, supporting leadership priorities, and ensuring smooth execution of corporate events such as the SIHO Summit. The work is diverse, fast paced, and highly collaborative, offering visibility into numerous business areas.

In this role, you will:

  • Support process improvement activities by gathering information, documenting workflows, identifying opportunities, and helping evaluate solutions 
  • Assist with planning, logistics, and execution for corporate events such as the SIHO Summer Summit 
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to coordinate departmental updates, help track progress on key initiatives, and support organizational alignment 
  • Help prepare materials, summaries, or reports needed for leadership meetings and administrative priorities 
  • Contribute to research, project coordination, and operational tasks as assigned by the Chief Administrative Officer or Corporate Business Operations team 
  • Gain experience with high visibility organizational initiatives that provide exposure to leadership decision making, company wide processes, and strategic operations
     

Qualifications: College students completing their senior year in majors such as Business Administration and Healthcare Management or related fields. Strong academic performance and a keen interest in the health insurance industry. Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
