Direct Support Professional/ Day Program

Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent. 

Skill(s): Ability to read and write in English, moderate mathematics skills required; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; auditory and visual skills; satisfactory completion of post-offer pre-employment physical exam and drug test as required. Completion and clearance of a criminal background check and a child abuse clearance. Has valid driver’s license with a clear three-year driving record.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the physical duties required. Must have adequate mobility that allows for frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching (vertical and horizontal), using fingers, hands, feet, legs and torso in providing various care tasks; and operate an vehicle. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, including transferring of client.

Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with individuals experiencing Intellectual Disabilities preferred.
