Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in customer service, in clerical activities or public contact experience.
- Must have the ability to attend a two to four-week mandatory paid training course.
- Preference for bilingual in Spanish/English or Creole/English.
What you will do:
The primary function of this position is to provide clerical services related to determining eligibility for government assistance programs in a call center environment. This role involves frequent phone interactions with customers and the use of multiple computer systems to process and manage information accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Explain eligibility requirements to applicants and recipients of government assistance programs.
- Determine eligibility for expedited Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) services.
- Enter client data into databases based on information collected during calls.
- Maintain accurate files and records in compliance with program guidelines.
- Deliver excellent customer service while handling inquiries and resolving issues.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily phone-based and requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate multiple computer systems efficiently.
