Summer Camp Sports Counselor

Who we are
Camp Cody is a co-ed Summer Camp in Freedom, New Hampshire. Since 1926, we have been providing unique experiences for campers and staff of all ages worldwide. Our Cody team is made up of teachers, athletes, coaches, creatives, hikers, bikers, travelers, and so much more. Together, we provide a safe and fun environment where campers and staff create life-long memories.

What you’ll be doing
This role involves supporting and ensuring the safety of campers as they participate in a wide variety of athletic activities. You will help plan and lead up to six activity periods per day, using your athletic background to create fun, inclusive, and engaging experiences for campers of all skill levels. This position is ideal for student-athletes from any sport who enjoy staying active, working with kids, and contributing to a positive, high-energy environment. You’ll play an important role in bringing programming to life and helping campers create memories that last well beyond the summer.

What we need from you
Develop and deliver engaging sports programming appropriate for the age and ability for each session.
Supervise and support campers to ensure safety, development, growth, and general well-being. 
Assist in managing and caring for the facilities and equipment in the sport program area. 
Communicate and collaborate with other camp staff members to facilitate positive camper experiences.

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us
Proven experience in working with children and in sports.
Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced camp environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Physical ability to lead activities for 6 to 8 hours per day.
Displays an energetic and positive personality.

Salary & benefits
Camp Cody offers a competitive salary ($400 per week, increased based on experience), room and board, staff training, weekly laundry service, camp t-shirts, weekly day-off, access to our snack-stocked staff lounge, and lifelong friendships! International staff salaries may differ slightly to accommodate for sponsoring agency fees.

Staff Training: 6/10/25 - 6/21/25
Summer Camp: 6/22/25 - 8/16/25
