Marketing Intern

Marketing Intern – Camp ’89 Grand Haven

Location: Grand Haven, MI
Type: Part to Full-Time / Seasonal Internship
Start Date: Somewhat Flexible but ideally limited hours beginning April 1 with hours ramping up by May 1

Hours: 30-40 hours per week during peak season

Pay: Starting at $13.73 per hour

 

Camp ’89 Grand Haven is looking for a creative, energetic Marketing Intern who’s excited to help shape the voice of a growing, family‑focused campground. If you love storytelling, social media, and creating content that makes people want to pack up the RV and hit the road, you’ll fit right in.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with creating social media content (photos, videos, reels, stories, captions) that reflects our brand
  • Help plan and execute seasonal marketing campaigns to drive bookings
  • Update website content and support Mailchimp email marketing efforts
  • Capture on‑site content during events, activities, and peak weekends
  • Assist in the creation of an interactive map and virtual tour of the property
  • Monitor social media engagement and respond to guest comments/messages
  • Support design needs for ads, flyers, signage, and promotional materials
  • Conduct light market research on trends, competitors, and guest preferences
  • Collaborate with the management team on new ideas to elevate the guest experience

 

What We’re Looking For

  • A student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Hospitality, or a related field
  • Strong writing skills and a knack for friendly, engaging messaging
  • Comfortable with photography and basic video creation
  • Familiarity with social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
  • Creative thinker with an eye for design and storytelling
  • Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Bonus: experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
