2027 Investment Management Summer Internship

Barings is seeking candidates for summer internship positions across public and private markets in fixed income, real assets, and capital solutions. This 10-week program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and insight into the financial industry. Outstanding performers will be considered for a position in our Analyst Program upon graduation. 

Placements are available across a variety of investment teams, including but not limited to Capital Solutions, Global Private Finance, High Yield, Portfolio Finance, Portfolio Solutions & Analytics, Private Placements & Asset Backed Finance, Real Estate and more. 

Primary Responsibilities 

Support underwriting efforts for debt or equity opportunities through: 

• Market research 
• Financial analysis and modeling 
• Risk analysis and valuation 
• Drafting investment memos 

Engage in ongoing portfolio monitoring, analysis, and valuation. 

Assist with special ad-hoc projects, presentations, and initiatives. 

Qualifications 

Current Sophomore with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Must be on track to graduate in Spring 2028 from an accredited university. 

Preferred majors include Business, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Statistics, and other relevant fields. 

Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office applications and sourcing data from the internet and various publications. 

Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to work as a member of a fast-paced, transaction-oriented team. 

Self-starter with strong organizational skills who can prioritize work and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.   

Ability to perform under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
