The Directors Guild of America-Producer Pension and Health Plans (DGA-PPHP) provide retirement and medical benefits to members and their families who provide director or other related production services in television, theatrical motion pictures, internet, and/or television commercials for the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP), and other Employers in the entertainment industry under a collective bargaining agreement with the Directors Guild of America, Inc. (DGA). Established in 1960, the DGA-PPHP represents $5.4 billion in assets that benefit more than 25,000 participants.

Summer Investment Analyst
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Summer Investment Analyst’s primary responsibility will be to assist with the day-to-day management and diligence of the over $5bn investment portfolios for the Director’s Guild of America - Producer Basic and Supplemental Pension Plans and Health Plan. This is a critical position within a small investment team developing the internal investment program of the three Plans.

CONTACTS AND RELATIONSHIPS
Employee works with or has contact with the CEO, Director of Investments, Controller and Accounting Department, investment consultants, investment managers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Working closely with the Director of Investments, monitor existing investments across public and private asset classes. This includes reviewing and analyzing investment activity and performance.
- Assist in evaluating investment managers, including attending and documenting meetings and helping perform manager due diligence (analysis of returns, portfolio fit, quality of organization, etc.).
- Complete strategic projects and ad hoc research on investment topics, as needed.

- Excellent quantitative, verbal and written communication skills
- Interest in financial markets and investment theory
- Intellectually curious
- Ability to work independently on projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Accountability, attention to detail, organizational skills and proactiveness
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Three years of progress towards Bachelor’s degree required (rising senior)
- Demonstrated academic/extracurricular interest in finance/economics
- Strong academic performance (GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
DURATION AND COMPENSATION
This role is expected to last 10-12 weeks beginning in early June. The Summer Investment Analyst will be expected to work 40 hours/week at a rate of $22/hour.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Requires bending, reaching, walking, and lifting of up to 10 lbs.
