Registered Behavior Technician Internship

About Us:

Autism Consulting and Therapy, LLC, one of Hampton Roads' oldest and largest applied behavior analysis (ABA) providers is offering a paid internship for motivated and energetic students or recent college graduates interested in pursuing a career in applied behavior analysis.

Job Description:

Interns will obtain training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), paraprofessional who practices under the ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Full time employment may be offered at the conclusion of the internship, but is not guaranteed.

Position Type:

- Internship

- Paid hourly rate ($13)

- Working hours 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday-Friday

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree preferred

- Junior/Senior level college student will also be considered

Other Requirements:

- Successful completion of a criminal background check

- Ability to lift 35 pounds

Job Duties:

- Complete computer-based and hands-on Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training program

- Observe implementation of direct behavioral services to clients in individual and group settings

- Practice running skill acquisition programs and collecting data electronically

- Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients

-Complete the competency assessment required to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Individuals who successfully complete the 4 week internship program, which begins August 2nd, will be eligible to sit for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam.
