Business Continuity Intern

Position Summary:

The Business Continuity Intern will gain experience in the business continuity field by providing support to the vendor and risk management team. This position will assist with a variety of special projects and support functions designed to achieve the overall strategic objectives of the Risk Management department.

 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

Partner with each business unit to identify critical business processes

Obtain current documented procedures for each critical process

Determining workaround if key systems are down

Begin working on updated Business Impact Analysis (BIA) for each critical process

Identify and establish contingency plans with departments

Design of tabletop exercises to test plans

 

Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to analyze and interpret financial data

Strong organizational skills.

Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrates high accuracy in data entry with strong attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word)

Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills to analyze information and make sounds decisions

Accountable for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive or proprietary information

 

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or GED

Currently attending a college or university and have taken intermediate level courses typically in the third year of study.

Pursuit of degree in Business preferred
