HR Intern

Everence HR Intern

Hours: Full Time (40 hours per week, 10-12 weeks)

Location: Goshen, IN

 

Everence Financial is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an HR Intern. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of human resources within a dynamic and values-driven organization. Projects and duties will be tailored to skills and interests of the intern but most likely include:

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment Support: Assist HR team in sourcing candidates, screening resumes and scheduling interviews.
  2. Onboarding Assistance: Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials, and assisting with new hire paperwork.
  3. HR Administration: Assist with maintaining employee records, updating HR databases, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  4. Employee Engagement: Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, such as planning and organizing team-building activities, recognition programs, and employee surveys.
  5. Training and Development: Assist in coordinating training sessions and workshops, tracking employee training records, and evaluating training effectiveness.
  6. HR Projects: Collaborate with HR team members on various HR projects, such as policy reviews, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and process improvements.
  7. General Support: Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including answering phones, responding to emails, and handling inquiries from employees.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take on new challenges.
