Camp Health Manager

Overview
As the Camp Health Manager for Wildwood’s summer camp season, you will be responsible for providing on-site healthcare for campers and staff during the camp season. You will assess and treat minor illnesses and injuries, provide first aid when needed, and manage medication administration. You will also be responsible for maintaining health records and ensuring that all health-related protocols are followed, contributing to the overall safety and success of the camp experience.
 

What to Expect

  • This is a seasonal summer position, with training beginning in late May and camp running from early June through early August.
  • You’ll have the choice to live at camp from Sunday evening through Friday evening each week or commute daily, Monday through Friday. Meals are provided while you’re on site.
  • You'll provide direct healthcare to campers and staff, including administering first aid, medication, and treatment for minor illnesses or injuries.
  • You'll maintain camper health records, including medication administration and allergies.
  • You'll communicate with parents regarding any health issues or concerns related to their children.
  • You'll assist in the development, training, and enforcement of health and safety protocols and emergency action plans.


What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with current, valid state licensure in Kansas. 
  • Previous experience in pediatric or camp nursing is preferred (but not required)
  • A part-time flexible schedule is also available for this position

Salary range

  • $800 - $1,200 per week
