We are seeking a highly motivated, hard working, enthusiastic Investment Analyst to join our unique investment and services boutique, the leader in setting up and managing single-family offices. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in researching potential investments and writing detailed investment recommendations and updates for our families’ customized investment portfolios, conducting thorough due diligence, and ensuring sound well informed financial decision-making. In addition, there will be a wide variety of special projects that will need to be aided or led by this candidate, across the separate family offices (QP) Global manages. This role demands a combination of financial acumen, operational expertise, legal comprehension, and exceptional communication skills, with greater consideration for those with strong writing capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a solid grounding in financial analysis and due diligence, a proficiency in Excel modeling, and a keen eye for detail. A strong candidate will be dynamic and curious, with up to 3 years of relevant experience, with the confidence to quickly grow into taking initiative in sourcing new investments and independently assessing new and existing opportunity sets, driving execution on a multitude of initiatives. This role plays a critical part in delivering world-class service to the families we serve, while also supporting the CEO and CIO in reporting, strategic planning, key family specific initiatives and special projects. This necessitates bridging (QP)’s Investment Team and outside third-party service providers, to offer a holistic and highly integrated set of services for each family, across all their affairs. Important to know: We do not mind if you live in New York City, but we expect analysts to show up on time at 8AM each morning, in the office, 5 days per week. We have zero interest in anyone who wants to work from home, given we know how important it is to work as a team, in person, especially for junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Due Diligence: Working with (QP) Global’s Head of Research, this role is expected to conduct comprehensive financial analysis of potential investment opportunities, including but not limited to financial statements review, valuation analysis, fund analysis and strategy diligence, various elements of financial modeling in Excel, and performance forecasting.
- Operational Due Diligence: Evaluate operational aspects of investment targets, assessing management capabilities, operational efficiencies, and risk management practices.
- Legal Due Diligence: Collaborate with legal counsel to conduct thorough legal due diligence on prospective investments, including contract review, regulatory compliance assessment, loan documents, subscription agreements, private placement memorandums, and risk analysis.
- Investment Research: Identify and research potential investment opportunities across various asset classes, industries, and geographies, providing insightful recommendations to the investment team. This would range from direct investments in early-stage to mature companies, or investing in funds that manage a wide range of strategies.
- Portfolio Management: Assist in the construction and management of the multitude of investment portfolios, monitoring performance, conducting periodic reviews, and recommending strategic adjustments as necessary with (QP) Global’s Chief Investment Officer. This includes helping update and monitor (QP) Global’s proprietary risk analytics and financial market forecasts.
- Excel Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to analyze investment opportunities, assess risk-return profiles, manage portfolio forecasts, and support decision-making processes.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed investment memos (40-60 pages in length), independent research reports (on sectors, strategies, companies, or asset classes), and presentations for senior management and (QP) Global’s Investment Committee review, highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and investment partners to facilitate seamless execution of investment transactions and ensure alignment with investment objectives. The main goal of this element is to support the Head of Research and ensure that the Chief Investment Officer has the information and details required to serve and speak with the respective family members of each family office, on the wide-ranging topics that are required of him.
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices, continuously enhancing expertise and contributing to the overall knowledge base of the team. Independent research, that does not interfere with specific deliverables and milestones is greatly encouraged.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Undertake special projects and ad hoc assignments as directed by senior management, contributing to the overall success and growth of each family office. These special projects often will conclude with a PowerPoint presentation highlighting key actions, reasoning, and outcomes, that this position will be responsible in crafting, and often, helping present to the families (QP) Global serves.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree from reputable university, with top academic performance.
- Strong roster of internships at highly rated organizations in financial services sector (investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, management consulting, or a similar role within a single-family office).
- Strong financial analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel modeling and financial valuation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas succinctly and effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners.

- CFA, CPA, or other relevant certifications/licenses are a plus.
