FPGA/DSP Engineering Intern
FPGA/DSP Engineering Intern
Responsibilities
This is an exciting new opportunity for an undergraduate to intern within our RF & Electrical Engineering department assisting with digital logic design using the VHDL language, as applied to Digital Signal Processing and communications applications. This summer internship is a continuous ten-week program, starting mid-May through mid-August. Schedule is flexible to accommodate academic schedule. This is a full-time nonexempt position where the undergraduate will gain valuable experience working on real-world complex engineering tasks. The pay will be commensurate with experience and level of education.
General Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, working on non-routine projects with general instruction and advanced projects with detailed instructions, this intern will be expected to:
- Assist with the simulation and analysis of digital signal processing architectures as related to digital communications.
- Perform simulation and test of candidate architectures using VHDL simulation and synthesis tools.
- Configure and run physical system tests using evaluation hardware and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
- Assist in the analysis, investigation, solution, and documentation of problems.
- Assist in the development, review, and archival of electronic and hard copy documentation as required.
- Participate in selected engineering experiments, tests, and reviews.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
