Climbing Arborist/Climbing Arborist Apprentice
Tettegouche Treecare is growing, and we’re looking to add another Climbing Arborist to our team! Whether you’re an experienced climber or eager to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
We are a small company that values employee safety and wellbeing above all else. Our team uses the latest climbing and rigging gear and regularly performs technical pruning and removals. You’ll be working alongside experienced climbers who are passionate about their work.
If you don’t have climbing experience but have a desire to learn, we want to teach you. For us, having a positive attitude, being reliable and hardworking is more important than experience.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay: $20–$35/hour, based on experience
- 35–40 hours per week, typically four production days with a flexible fifth day
- Year-round work with winter flexibility

What You’ll Do
- Climb trees and operate an aerial lift to perform tree removals and pruning
- Perform tree planting, root excavation, crane assisted removals, install tree support systems, remove invasive species, general clean up-rake, drag brush, etc.
- Operate a woodchipper, excavator, log loader, and stump grinder
- Perform maintenance and inspections on gear and equipment
- Drive and tow company trucks and trailers
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in the tree industry
- Comfortable working at height and operating heavy equipment
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT health card
Preferred Qualifications
- ISA Certified Arborist (or willingness to work toward certification with our support)
