Family Permanency Specialist

About the Role

Boys & Girls Aid is seeking a full-time Family Permanency Specialist to join our team. This position serves the Central Oregon region, including the following countiesJefferson, Deschutes, Crook, Lake, Klamath, Hood River, Wasco, Sherman, and Gilliam, as well as Wheeler (Districts 9, 10, and 11). The ideal candidate may reside in any of these counties, and the responsibilities include traveling to all of them for cases.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay: $21.60/hr

What You'll Do

  • Use individualized recruitment strategies to find permanent families for children in foster care.
  • Partner with Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) to review case records and identify potential family connections.
  • Build relationships with children and collaborate with ODHS caseworkers to prepare for adoption.
  • Develop recruitment plans tailored to each child's background and needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree with 1 year of service, OR Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 5 years of experience in social work, counseling, or psychology, OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
