Youth Conservation Corps Program Manager

SUMMARY

Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) is a summer program designed to employ high school youth in natural resources, construction, and park maintenance related projects.  The Program Manager is responsible for pre-season organization of the summer program and the management of the daily operation of the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC).  Hours will vary during the pre-season, beginning in February of each year, but will work 40 hours a week from May – August.  Drives a motorized vehicle to travel to different locations.  Performs tasks that will require walking, bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, climbing, reaching and sitting.  Performs heavy lifting tasks up to 50 pounds.

EXPERIENCE

College level course work in Parks and Recreation, Environmental Education or related field.  Two years of experience in supervision of youth.  Working knowledge of environmental education, conservation, construction, and grounds maintenance fields.  Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess valid motor vehicle driver's license.
