Duties: The Engineer, Water Resources will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of the Healthy Rivers and Landscapes (HRL) Program and related water management activities. Responsibilities include monitoring and verifying HRL flows from tributaries of the Sacramento–San Joaquin Delta, coordinating State Water Project (SWP) operations related to HRL and Delta outflow, and synthesizing scientific data derived from HRL implementation and habitat assets. The incumbent will be expected to process and maintain large datasets, conduct and review complex engineering calculations, prepare and review technical reports and agreements, and present project-related information clearly to stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong technical writing skills, sound judgment, cooperative teamwork, and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other agencies while attending meetings, conferences, and trainings to support program goals.

Must be willing to sometimes work outside of normal business hours, travel, and stay overnight in various locations throughout the State of California.
