Culinary Intern
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Culinary Intern will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional kitchen within a private golf club environment. This internship is designed to support culinary education through real-world exposure to food preparation, service execution, and kitchen operations while maintaining the high standards expected by club members.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with daily food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and basic cooking tasks
- Support service for à la carte dining, banquets, tournaments, and special events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in accordance with health and safety standards
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
- Learn and execute recipes according to club standards and chef direction
- Assist with inventory rotation, labeling, and storage (FIFO practices)
- Participate in prep for multiple dining outlets as needed (beach club, main club house, banquets, etc.)
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth service operations
