About Scout Robotics
Scout Robotics builds autonomous inspection systems that mount on everyday vehicles to continuously monitor infrastructure. Our platforms combine robotics, AI, and sensor fusion to turn trains, service vehicles, and industrial fleets into always-on inspection systems for cities and operators.
What You’ll Do
Design and iterate on enclosures, mounts, and mechanical assemblies for mobile robotic systems
Build and test ruggedized hardware that operates in vibration-heavy, outdoor environments
Create CAD models, drawings, and BOMs for production-ready components
Prototype parts using 3D printing, CNC, and off-the-shelf hardware
Collaborate with electrical and robotics teams to integrate sensors and compute
Participate in field testing and iterate based on real-world feedback
Preferred Skills
Experience with CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)
Understanding of mechanical design, tolerances, and materials
Hands-on prototyping experience
Interest in robotics, mobility systems, or hardware startups
You’ll Gain
End-to-end exposure to real product development
Field experience deploying hardware in live environments
Ownership over parts of a production system
