About the Role
MetalQuest is seeking a skilled and motivated Applications Engineer to support the effectiveness of our production machining operations. In this role, you will set up, program, and troubleshoot CNC and machining processes while ensuring production meets strict safety, quality, and customer standards. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize processes, support technical challenges, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

What You’ll Do

Perform machine setup, programming, and troubleshooting on CNC and related equipment

Provide technical support for machining operations, software programming, and job setup

Participate in and support implementation of new projects

Test, evaluate, and improve machining and production processes

Ensure processes adhere to customer requirements and company standards

Communicate and collaborate with employees, vendors, and customers

Provide technical customer support as needed

Perform additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Proficient computer and CAD skills; CAM experience is a plus

Strong understanding of CNC machinery, programming, and machining processes

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Ability to read and utilize operator manuals, part listings, requisitions, and purchase orders

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Able to coordinate multiple priorities effectively

Knowledge of relevant vendors and suppliers in the machining/automation space
