About the Role
Bronson Battle Creek Hospital is seeking a skilled and team-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team. In this role, you will work closely with surgeons, RN Circulators, and other surgical staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- The Surgical Technologist works under the direction of the RN Circulator and OR leadership to support surgical procedures and maintain a safe, sterile environment.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile surgical field
- Review procedure cards and assess case carts prior to surgery
- Identify and obtain missing equipment or supplies
- Anticipate surgeon needs based on procedure and physician preferences
- Monitor the operative field and respond to changing needs during procedures
- Observe patients for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly
- Maintain proper use, handling, and care of surgical instruments and equipment
- Update preference cards and communicate equipment or supply issues
- Uphold patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or prior Surgical Tech experience required
- Surgical Technologist certification preferred
- On-the-job orientation with a qualified OR preceptor required
- BLS certification required by completion of core orientation

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient positioning and equipment handling
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment
