Summer Semester 2026 Industrial Design Co-op
About Priority Designs:
Priority Designs is a 30-year-old, employee owned product development company with a global span of clients. We're a team of ~70 with a flat company structure where egos are discouraged, and the ability to have fun and collaborate (often simultaneously) is required.
The Industrial Design Intern will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to iterate and deliver highly usable and delightful concepts to our wide range of clients. They will collaborate with internal and external clients working on projects in consumer, industrial, and healthcare industries. Key functions will include generating design deliverables throughout all phases of the development process.
Tasks May Include:
- Concept ideation and participation in brainstorming sessions
- 2D concept rendering
- 3D CAD modeling (solidworks preferred)
- 3D concept rendering (keyshot preferred)
- Product documentation photography
- Conceptualizing digital user interfaces (Figma preferred)
- Helping the administrative staff with office tasks and meeting preparation
Qualifications:
- At least 3rd year of a Bachelors program of Industrial Design
- Good initiative and ability to thrive in an environment with limited structure
- Relevant Co-op experience is preferred
- An eye for aesthetic design and consumer trends
- Excellent sketching skills
- 3D design skills
- Ability to create compelling visualizations
- Excellent communication skills
- Exposure to designing for different manufacturing processes
- Good attention to detail
Additional Information:
Due to the nature of Priority Designs' projects, this position will primarily be in-person with the flexibility to work remotely as the day-to-day allows. In-person work will take place at Priority Designs' facility in Columbus, OH.
