Day Camp Counselor – Summer 2026
Dates: June 16 – August 21
Pay: $5,200 for the summer
Eligibility: college students and recent graduates encouraged to apply

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County is hiring Day Camp Counselors to support our 4-H Day Camp programs. This is an ideal opportunity for students and recent graduates seeking hands-on experience in youth development, education, recreation, or public service.

Counselors play a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and positive camp environment while developing valuable professional skills.

Responsibilities include:
• Supervising and engaging children in daily camp activities
• Supporting educational, recreational, and outdoor programming
• Serving as a positive role model and mentor
• Working as part of a collaborative camp team
• Following safety procedures and camp policies

This role is a great fit for students interested in:
Education, social work, psychology, recreation, environmental studies, human services, or related fields.

This is a full-time seasonal position running June 16–August 21, with a total summer salary of $5,200.
