Camp Volunteer

Take Part in Something Bigger – Become A Volunteer!

Every year, Victory Junction recruits a diverse group of volunteers made up of exceptional individuals. Few things are more rewarding than helping a child expand their boundaries and achieve things they never thought possible. Our volunteers play a large part in that process. Are you looking for that type of experience?

We have year-round family weekend & weeklong summer camp volunteer opportunities. Below is an overview of the roles you could be in. We also sign off on all volunteer hours completed here (Spring=32 hours per weekend, Summer=85 hours per session). Please go to our website at www.victoryjunction.org/volunteer/ to see the dates we have available!

Spring Volunteer Options

Family Pals are paired with a family and serve as their guide throughout the weekend. That means welcoming your family to camp, escorting them throughout their camp experience and enjoying the joys of camp with all members of the family. Your role is very important because as the initial face of Victory Junction and the family’s constant representation, you have a major part in the feel of camp and the community that is established. In short, laugh, play and care for your campers! Families will live on cabin row and volunteers in program or medical lodges.

Program Pals provide programming which gives our campers the opportunity to try new things and push beyond their comfort zone. Volunteers in this role are assigned to oversee a program area such as Arts & Crafts, Woodshop, Archery, Boating, Fishing, Adam’s Race Shop or the Fab Shop. As a Program Pal you will join a family when your program area is closed so you can continue to experience all of the magic of camp.

Summer Volunteer Options

Cabin Counselors will serve as the primary role model for six to eight campers on a weekly basis during peer programming. In this role, you will assist campers with activities of daily living, provide support and encouragement at program areas, and ensure the health and safety of our campers.
