Williston Recreation & Parks is looking for creative, fun, dedicated, self-motivated people to work in the Summer Day Camps. The day camps provide an incredible camp experience for children entering grades 1-6 or 7-8 in the Fall. There are two (2) Day Camps- R.E.C. Camp and O.U.R. Camps.  The camps are located in the Town of Williston, VT.

The goal in each camp is to provide children the opportunity to learn and grow in a FUN and SAFE environment. One way to ensure a quality camp is by hiring quality people, those who are experienced, talented, and enthusiastic. Become part of the amazing and dedicated team who all share a love of working with children and providing memories that last a lifetime.

Candidates must be energetic, motivated, self-starters with experience working with children in a camp or recreational setting. Candidates must be well organized with good programming and communication skills. All candidates must be 16 years of age or older and have experience working with children. Prior Day Camp or Residential Camp experience preferred. Candidates must be able to commit to working up to 40 hours a week for up to 9 weeks- mid-June through Mid-August. If hired, candidate must have valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation. If offered a position, candidate must submit and pass the criminal history and abuse registry background checks.  

Candidates with lifeguarding certification are needed for beach trips. The salary is higher for having this certification and the department will work with the candidate who needs to renew their certification.

Positions:

Director- age 20+, $20 hr.

Assistant Director- age 20+, $19 hr.

Head Camp Counselors- age 20+, $18 hr.

Camp Counselors- age 18+, $16 hr.

Junior Counselors- age 16+, $15 hr.
