MarineQuest Summer 2026 Day Instructors

UNCW MarineQuest is now hiring for Summer 2026! For more than 45 years, UNCW MarineQuest has provided enriching academic opportunities for youth to explore, discover and value our marine habitats and encourage them to develop into environmentally responsible adults. 

We are looking to hire:

• Day Instructors (Full and Half-Day)
• Specialty Instructors
• Weekend Staff

Qualified candidates have a background in marine science, informal education experience, and the ability to lead outdoor learning experiences. 

Basic Duties Include:

1. Learn and implement program specific curriculum.
2. Provide "hands-on, feet-wet" instruction for students (age dependent on program).
3. Supervise students in the classroom, in university lab spaces, in the field, on buses/vans and during lunch.
4. Work cooperatively with your co-instructors and support staff.
5. Provide first aid to students.
6. Implement behavior management policies.
7. Follow general clean up protocol and ensure maintenance of program materials.
