Job Description

Function:

Assist members of the Manufacturing Engineering Department in the execution of tasks and projects to satisfy customer schedules, within the assigned budget, and assuring Brunk Industries high quality standard.

 

 Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities. Employee may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

         

  • Support the manufacturing engineers with the assigned projects.
  • Complete assigned tasks and small projects within the project schedule and budget under the supervision of the assigned manufacturing engineer’s supervision.
  • Support hands on production floor projects under the direction of an assigned manufacturing engineer.
  • Perform research in assigned topics including equipment, products, and or processing.
  • Participate in problem solving and process improvement activities using mechanical design theory and analytical skills.
  • Provide weekly project activity reports.
  • Daily communication with the manufacturing engineering team in regards to assigned tasks and projects.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Computer-Aided-Design; a basic working capability using computer-aided-design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
  • Good verbal skills for effective interpersonal interactions.
  • Good writing skills for preparing experimental plans and project reports.
  • Organizational skills with good analytical capability.
  • Flexible team member capable of carrying single and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including Word, Excel and CAD.

Education and Experience:

Minimum educational requirements listed below may be substituted by relevant experience, learned competencies and/or certifications obtained throughout one’s career.

 

  • Must have a current student status in a Bachelor of Science Program in an engineering discipline.

Work Environment/Physical requirements:

  • Work is in an office and manufacturing environment with noise and some grinding dust.
  • Must be able to perform light lifting 50 lbs. 

Protective Clothing Required:

  • Must wear safety glasses while working in the manufacturing area.
