Cybersecurity and AI Clinic Assistant
The NSI CTC TEACH Cybersecurity + AI Clinic at George Mason University’s National Security Institute (NSI) trains GMU and Howard University students to deliver pro bono cybersecurity and AI risk services to under-resourced organizations.
We are seeking a part-time Spring 2026 Clinic Assistant to support the Clinic Director with basic operations, student coordination, and class logistics. This is an administrative and organizational support role ideal for a student interested in cybersecurity, technology policy, or program management. Candidates should be available to work 25-30 hours per week and have experience with WordPress, Canva, and/or Mailchimp.
Starting in January, the Clinic will guide students through client engagements, weekly workshops, and the development of final client deliverables (such as policy drafts, risk matrices, and AI readiness reports). The Clinic will also begin recruiting the next student cohort and meeting with local nonprofits and small businesses for future engagements.
Examples of what you may do:
- Help with day-to-day logistics, scheduling, and communications.
- Assist in preparing for class sessions and events throughout the semester (printing materials, setting up rooms, organizing worksheets and other student deliverables, helping with guest speakers).
- Keep track of student group milestones and follow up on upcoming deadlines.
- Help maintain organized digital files (Google Drive folders, spreadsheets, templates, etc.).
- Provide general administrative support (room bookings, printing, timesheets, etc.).
- Help maintain a positive, professional experience for students and clients.
- Use tools like WordPress, Canva, and Mailchimp to support communications, marketing, or document design as needed.
This is a part-time position paying $17/hour.
Hours are flexible, with some required availability during scheduled class sessions.
