We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled individual to join our team as a Full-Time Legal Assistant. This position requires excellent attention to detail and proficiency with computer software, as well as the ability to work independently. You will be responsible for proofreading, and organizing estate plans in an office environment as well as other related duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proofreading: Reviewing estate plans and related documents to ensure accuracy, grammar, and consistency. Correcting any errors in spelling, punctuation, or formatting.
- Printing and Organizing: Operating office printers and ensuring documents are printed correctly, following specific guidelines and quality standards. Organizing estate plans efficiently and accurately for easy reference.
- Quality Control: Maintaining a high level of quality assurance to ensure all estate plans meet the required standards and are free of errors.
- Document Management: Importing and scanning documents. Maintaining electronic files with client provided documents and law firm documentation.
- Office Upkeep: Provide general office support, including, but not limited to breaking down deliveries, caring for plants, and monitoring supplies.
- Computer Proficiency: Utilizing computer software and tools for proofreading and printing tasks. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems is essential.
- Independence: The ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently, adhering to established processes and deadlines.
- Communication: Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth workflow and reporting any issues or concerns promptly.
- Other related duties.
Requirements:
- Excellent attention to detail is absolutely essential.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and document management software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable and able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Minimum of 1-2 years in an office environment
- Previous experience in proofreading or a related field is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Must be able to lift and carry 10 lbs.
Working Hours:
This full-time position (4 days onsite) with a hybrid schedule (1 day remote). Mondays designated as a remote workday. Hours of operation are 9:00am to 5:30pm.

- Starting salary: $18-20/hr (commensurate with experience; potential for higher base salary).
