Economic Development Services Manager
Join the City of Oshkosh as an Economic Development Services Manager. Lead strategic initiatives in Community and Economic Development, overseeing professional staff and fostering public/private partnerships to drive economic growth. Manage division operations and budgets while spearheading innovative development programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management & Administration: Lead the Economic Development Services Division. Supervise and develop staff; manage division budgets and performance standards.
- Strategic Development: Implement programs for business expansion and redevelopment. Support policy formulation and maintain economic plans.
- Business Engagement: Partner with local organizations to attract and retain businesses. Develop financial structures and partnerships.
- Redevelopment & Negotiation: Oversee redevelopment projects; negotiate with stakeholders. Ensure project compliance and deadlines.
- Policy & Representation: Propose economic policies and represent the division in Council meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Planning, or related field.
- 4-6 years of business development experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Ability to obtain IEDC certification within 2 years.
