Laboratory Technician Intern

Job Description:

The general responsibilities of this position will be to conduct laboratory testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates, and relay your findings to clients and project managers. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform soils, concrete, aggregate, and asphalt testing on lab samples
• Enter lab test data in laboratory software
• Sampling of asphalt cores to verify thickness
• Enter laboratory data into the data management system
• Perform and understand laboratory tests including, but not limited to: Moisture-density relationships, Atterberg Limits, Grainsize analysis, percent swell, consolidation testing, compressive strength of concrete and masonry, etc.
• Calculate results from construction materials testing data

Requirements: 

• High school diploma and BS or MS degree in progress in a science or related field (civil engineering, environmental engineering, engineering, geology).
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Ability to obtain required certifications
