Registered Dietitian

Reedsburg Area Medical Center is looking for a Registered Dietitian to join our team! 

In this role, you will use the Nutrition Care Process to perform nutrition screenings and assessments, develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans, deliver patient and family education, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes.

You’ll work with a diverse range of patient populations, which may include:

  • Inpatient units (ICU, Med/Surg, Birth Center – 25 total beds)
  • Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation
  • General Outpatient
  • Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation
  • Group classes and education programs

This position also supports the Nutrition & Culinary Services leadership team with planning and implementing therapeutic diets and IDDSI textures throughout the organization. Additional duties may be assigned by the Lead Dietitian.

Job Relationships

  • Reports to: Lead Dietitian
  • Collaborates with: Nutrition & Culinary Services leadership, hospitalists, nursing staff, therapists, pharmacists, SLPs, and other interdisciplinary team members

Primary Customers Served

  • Adult patients (19–65 years)
  • Geriatric patients (66+ years)
  • Patients, families, and visitors
  • RAMC employees and staff

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
  • Credentialed Registered Dietitian or exam-eligible with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (must obtain RD credential within 3 months of hire)
  • Current Wisconsin Dietitian License
  • BLS certification (within 3 months of hire)

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical dietetics experience
  • Experience with EPIC and ECS charting systems
  • Knowledge of IDDSI texture and diet modifications

Experience

  • Experience recommended but not required
  • At least 2 years of long-term care experience preferred
