POSITION: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Putnam Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide essential behavioral supports and services across the district. The primary goal of this role is to collaborate with special education staff, general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to help students develop the necessary skills and strategies to be successful in their least restrictive environment (LRE).
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to determine the function of challenging behaviors.
- Developing, training staff on, and monitoring the fidelity of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Providing ongoing consultation, coaching, and professional development to special education staff, general education teachers, and paraeducators on evidence-based behavioral strategies and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Collaborating with Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams to design comprehensive behavioral goals and support plans.
- Analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust plans as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification: Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Licensure: Must hold a Licensed Behavior Analyst credential in the State of CT.
- Education: Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field.
- Preferred Qualification: Preference will be given to candidates who hold a CT Teaching Certification (Special Education endorsement is highly desired).

RATE OF PAY: Based on contractual requirements
