As an Employment Specialist, you'll be responsible for the development of employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. You’ll actively build connections, train members, and guide them through every step of the employment journey — from job search to success on the job.

Education / Experience
Associate’s Degree in Social Services or related field
OR
3 years’ experience in employment and/or counseling services for individuals with disabilities (required)
Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Job Tasks Include:
- Assist in the development of a program employment plan
- Actively seek out and secure job opportunities for members
- Train members in self-marketing and employment readiness
- Provide comprehensive job coaching
- Maintain regular contact with employers and community partners
- Meet placement goals and maintain acceptable job placement levels
- Provide case management services and monitor member progress
- Maintain appropriate staff-member interactions
- Participate in Periodic Service Review (PSR) and other quality assurance programs
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and funding source requirements
- Cooperate with all Agency personnel, legal authorities, and the Department of Human Services as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
