Museum Graphic Design Fellow

The B&O Railroad Museum is the birthplace of American Railroading, we tell the story of the industrial, economic, and cultural impact the railroads had on the city, the nation, and the world. Additionally, our museum strives to be a central resource for the community to find support and thrive in a 21st century landscape: through workforce development programs, educational outreach and programs, historical preservation, and events.

We are currently looking for an intern to assist with designing classroom ready materials based on our Underground Railroad exhibit and workshops.  This intern would be focused on the designing and presentation of these materials and their packaging, working to make it consistent with our current designs in the exhibit and online. Candidates must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and have an excellent visual eye for design and composition. This candidate would:

-be excited by new ideas

-be passionate about education

-be curious about Museum and/or non-profit programming 

-have a background in or currently studying relevant coursework

This would be currently a paid part time position, which is completely grant funded, $15 an hr, with the option of some remote work.
