Position Overview:

Drives operational excellence through the use of data-based analysis and routine integration of data into the routines.  This role will support plant providing data and direction to production teams to drive process improvements and constant action feedback.  Role will provide standardized views for various routines (Daily, Weekly, Performance Review) to drive consistent process visibility.

Accountabilities:

  • Provides daily Production process data to influence direction of corrective actions, standardizing the data visibility within all plant routines.
  • Leads data integration into Operations Daily meetings supporting plant location.
  • Serves as an active contributor to daily/weekly routines, providing real time data insight into performance.
  • Collaborates with functional areas to develop and report performance metrics against targets to determine gaps in performance and recommends/executed improvement initiatives. 
  • Champions use and functionality of BPLM, Infinity, and CTT and other related systems and ensures accuracy through a validation strategy that identifies all critical inputs and controls them properly to achieve optimal performance of critical processes and outputs. 
  • Uses appropriate Lean, Six Sigma and data analysis tools to analyze quantitative and qualitative to provide actional information for data-driven decisions. 
  • Conducts training, when appropriate, on engineering concepts and tools, including but not limited to process control and capability, root causes analysis, basic Quality and problem-solving tools.
  • Partners with plant departments to establish effective communication processes to equally disseminate critical information across all departments, shifts and crews.
  • Aligns plant data visibility to standardized format for all improvement efforts (PDCA/A3), monthly Performance Reviews, and weekly tracking/action meetings.   

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED is required. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field is preferred. 
  • Job related experience in process improvement or project management gained through coursework or internship; manufacturing experience (preferred).
  • Computer based skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred)
