El Dorado Tutoring Center Lead - Placerville

Position Overview:

The EL Dorado Tutoring Center Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative and operational functions of the EDC Tutoring Center in Placerville. This role is instrumental in coordinating student services programs and ensuring the smooth execution of administrative processes. The Administrative Lead performs a variety of clerical and management tasks, and collaborates with faculty, students, and other departments to maintain program efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate Tutoring: Schedule and manage a team of 5 tutors who hold about 20 tutoring sessions each day in a variety of subjects. 

  • Collect availability schedules from tutors.
  • Develop program availability schedules that include all tutors’ availabilities
  • Schedule student appointments based on student and mentor availability

Hold Tutoring Appointments: The lead will hold 10-20 tutoring sessions each week in their subject of choice.  Must be able to tutor college level Chemistry, Math, or Biology. 

 

Experience/Education:

  • Experience working as a tutor is required.
  • High grades in either Chemistry, Biology, or Math

 

Technical Information

  • Hourly pay ranges from $18.36 - $21.36.
  • 15-25 hours/week during regular business hours Monday through Thursday on a set schedule.
  • Approximately 32 weeks annually (Fall and Spring Semesters).
