Position Title: Camp Artist
Location: 4651 Co Rd ZZ, Dodgeville, WI
Employment Type: Seasonal / Full-Time (June 1-August 14, 2026)
Overview
The Camp Artist leads creative expression across camp by facilitating hands-on art activities, keeping the Art Shack organized and inspiring, and supporting both campers and staff in creative play. This role is perfect for someone who is imaginative, organized, and excited about helping kids explore creativity in all forms.
Key Responsibilities

Art Programming & Activity Leadership
- Lead daily art activities for groups of campers across different age levels.
- Create and introduce new art projects using a variety of mediums, including nature-based materials.
- Provide counselors with ready-to-use art ideas for cabin or downtime activities.

Studio Upkeep & Resources
- Maintain, clean, and organize the Art Shack and all art supplies.
- Ensure materials are prepped and accessible for both led and self-directed projects.

- Capture photos of camper projects and creative moments for families

Camper Support & Community Involvement
- Assist with camper behavior support and offer relief for counselors when needed.
- Help with campfires, special programs, and daily operational tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
- 18+ years of age
- Experience in visual arts (painting, crafting, ceramics, photography, or similar).
- Previous experience working with children required
- Creative, organized, and able to adapt projects for different age groups and abilities.
- Comfortable managing supplies and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Willingness to pitch in wherever needed - whether that means helping in the kitchen, cleaning facilities, or solving unexpected challenges to keep camp running smoothly.
- Respect for diverse perspectives on faith, identity, relationships, and the natural world
