Digital Content Creator Emerging Professional

Overview

The Source of Hope is seeking a creative and motivated Digital Content Creator & Producer Emerging Professional to assist in developing and distributing multimedia content that highlights the organization’s mission and community programs. This role offers hands-on experience in digital storytelling, video editing, and content strategy while supporting the production of The QC Show and 160 AM radio segments.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating engaging content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, while collaborating with the marketing and communications team to maintain a consistent brand message across all campaigns. This opportunity is perfect for students eager to grow their skills in digital production, social media, and visual communication.

Compensation

This is an unpaid Emerging Professional internship that offers mentorship, media production experience, and portfolio-building opportunities.

Schedule

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 11:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  
   
• Thursday: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
  
   
• Monthly Volunteering Event: Fourth Saturday, 6:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  
   
• Up to 20 hours per week
  
   

Emerging Professional Program

The Source of Hope’s Emerging Professional Program provides college students and young adults with real-world experience in leadership, creativity, and community engagement. Participants gain mentorship, develop professional skills, and contribute to digital projects that amplify hope and impact across communities.

Qualifications

• Proficient in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok)
  
   
• Experience with design or editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar software
  
   
• Strong creative writing and visual storytelling skills
  
   
• Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
  
   
• Ability to collaborate with designers, writers, and video teams
  
   
• Comfortable working on-camera and assisting with video production
  
   
• Knowledge of digital marketing and audience engagement strategies is a plus
  
   
• Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite
  
   

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
  
   
• Currently enrolled in college and pursuing or interested in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, or related fields
  
   
• Prior experience in content creation or video production is preferred, but not required
  
   

Responsibilities

• Create and edit short-form videos, social media reels, and promotional content
  
   
• Capture and organize media for The QC Show and 160 AM radio segments
  
   
• Design engaging visuals and marketing materials using Canva or similar tools
  
   
• Assist in managing and scheduling posts across multiple digital platforms
  
   
• Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistent brand voice
  
   
• Help plan and execute campaigns for events, programs, and donation drives
  
   
• Participate in Serving Hope community events (4th Saturday, 6 AM – 1 PM)
  
   
• Support with photography, caption writing, and digital storytelling initiatives
