Civil/Environmental Engineer Paid Internship
Summer 2026 Internship - Civil & Environmental Engineering
Qualifications:
- Attending full-time accredited Bachelor or Graduate engineering program.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (minimum AutoCAD LT).
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to commute to Saratoga Springs, NY office for daily work.
- Looking for candidates that possess the following traits; motivated and hardworking, self-starter with leadership experience, strong organizational, analytical, communication and design skills, proficient technical writer, team player and excellent time management skills.
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading and writing in English
Responsibilities:
- Design and permitting assistance under guidance of a Professional Engineer (water treatment/storage/distribution, wastewater treatment/collection, stormwater infrastructure, building design, site/civil - residential subdivisions/campgrounds, etc.).
- Assistance with site surveying and field investigations (e.g.: percolation tests, test pit evaluation, infiltration testing, etc.).
- Interpretation of construction plans and specifications.
- Construction oversight assistance.
- Assistance with completion of bid documents (project manuals, technical specifications, contract drawings).
- Assistance with AutoCAD drafting/design and/or Civil 3d work.
- Assistance with project management and planning.
- Quantity take-offs and cost estimating.
- Permitting assistance.
- Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan assistance and inspections.
- Environmental reviews (State Environmental Quality Review Act and National Environmental Policy Act).
