Kent Power is offering an Information Technology Internship to aid in our efforts to manage our information systems while providing support for our team. You will work collaboratively with IT and other business units to solve problems, maintain and improve our infrastructure, and work to ensure that IT solutions align with the goals of the organization.
What you will do:
- Manage, resolve, and document cases related to hardware and software repair, installation, and troubleshooting
- Maintain software applications and services
- Document changes to systems and develop entries for a support database
- Execute and improve procedures for deploying hardware and software
- Collaborate with IT team in resolving technical problems
- Research problems and recommend solutions
- Ensure that all work is accurate and compliant with company standards
- Participate in training and professional development sessions
- Perform related duties as required
What you must have:

- Demonstrated strong technical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills

- Willingness to participate in team initiatives
- Majoring in computer science or engineering, information technology, or other related IT discipline
- Proficiency in Microsoft-based systems and applications
- Reliable transportation to our facility in Rockford, MI
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
