Seasonal Position | Oversight of $100,000 Food & Beverage Operation

 

The Beach Club Internship offers a hands-on leadership role in managing a dynamic seasonal food and beverage operation with annual revenues exceeding $100,000. The intern is responsible for training, scheduling, supervising, and motivating a team of up to five service staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional service standards. This position plays a key role in delivering a high-quality member experience by greeting guests, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and handling day-to-day issues with professionalism and efficiency. Operational duties include managing opening and closing procedures, overseeing the Jonas point-of-sale (POS) system, and maintaining inventory of liquor, beer, wine, snacks, towels, and other operating supplies. The intern is also responsible for upholding rigorous cleanliness and sanitation standards across the pool deck, service areas, locker rooms, and surrounding facilities. Administrative responsibilities include managing bookings, tracking member usage, and reconciling end-of-day sales receipts. This internship provides valuable experience in leadership, hospitality operations, and customer service, with the intern expected to lead by example and promote a positive and professional team environment throughout the season.

 

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates must have previous Food & Beverage experience, take pride in their work, have the ability to multitask, be self-motivated, and have a passion for the Food & Beverage/Private Club industry. Candidates must be able to withstand prolonged standing, lifting, and carrying items up to 50lbs. Must be able to not just work, but excel without direct supervision at times.

Educational Requirements

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Hospitality Management, Hospitality Business, Hospitality & Tourism Management, Event Management, or related program. Recent graduates or upcoming graduates are welcome to apply.
