Baseball & Stadium Operations Intern

Mid May - Early August

The Spearfish Sasquatch Baseball Club is seeking Baseball & Stadium Operations Interns for the 2026 season. This position will work under the direction of the General Manager.

Job Candidate Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Reliable transportation

Game-Day Responsibilities

  • Set-up / tear down the merchandise tent, ticketing tent and promotions tent.
  • Field Prep (Chalking, painting, mowing, raking, etc.)
  • Prepare / Maintain both dugouts (Water, towels, trainers table, snack, etc.)
  • Set up / tear down chairs on concourse, dugout and party deck areas.
  • Coordinate visiting team laundry as needed
  • Lead post-game cleanup and tear-down operations
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary stadium (sweeping, trash removal, restrooms, etc.)
  • Assist On-field host with set up of promotional props
  • Ensure stadium lights are turned on at the appropriate time
  • Deliver cases of game balls to umpires pre-game
  • Prepare the infield / pitchers mound (mowing, raking, dragging, watering, etc.)
  • Coordinate post game meals for visiting team & Sasquatch
  • Serve as official Scorekeeper during game (Scoreboard and Statistics Software)
  • Work with coaching staff on statistics and analytics

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain overall organization and cleanliness of ballpark
  • Compile statistical reports for Coaching Staff (spray charts, batting avg, etc.)
  • Work with coaching staff on equipment needs
  • Organize and set travel schedule and travel logistics
  • Send itinerary to visiting team (Hotel, meals, work out facility, etc.)
  • Assist in all aspects of team operations and other duties as assigned by management

Skills & Experience Required

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Baseball scoring knowledge
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet hard deadlines
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. of chalk and dirt supplement
